Project: Set up Vendor Management Office, initiation of the optimization of the service provider portfolio, and subsequently tendering of the Infrastructure Services

Challenge & Client Value: The client was in the process of transforming their IT operations from a local for local to a central led European-wide IT organization. Whitebridge was tasked with setting up the Vendor Management Office and initiating the optimization of the service provider portfolio. Whitebridge was then asked to lead the tendering of the infrastructure services. Key challenge for the client was the management of the HR impact of the broader scope of outsourced services. Whitebridge successfully completed the project providing the client with a future proof IaaS based deal, facilitating the centralization of the infrastructure services, and unexpected cost savings and innovative consumption based pricing model. Subsequently Whitebridge provided oversight service for the implementation of the deal and the hand-over of the Vendor Management Office to an internal Sourcing Manager.

Approach:  Whitebridge delivered the results by driving the project for the client end to end with a mixed team covering all necessary aspects, including the legal aspects:

  • Supporting the client in the successfully use of the Whitebridge dialogue focused methodology
  • The dialogue process enabled the client to engage the prospective service providers in a highly interactive tender procedure co-developing the optimal solution
  • Helped the client to gain maximum understanding of the solutions proposed and opportunities presented and upfront align on a future proof contract based on a best practice templates.
  • Prospective service providers were able to gain a full understanding of the specifics of the client and its challenges, enabling them to propose and price their optimal solutions
