Project: Selecting and contracting a service integrator for the renewing and implementing of the OSS and BSS stack.

Challenge & Client Value: The client was implementing a quad-play (tv, internet, fixed and mobile telephony) strategy and needed to implement a completely new OSS and BSS landscape. The client’s supplier portfolio consisted mostly of tier 2 and local staffing suppliers, contracts often directly linked to the legacy application that needed to be maintained. After an initial sourcing strategy phase, the client decide, as a first step, contract with one tier 1 system integrator for implementing the OSS applications and application integration platform. After selecting a shortlist of 3 system integrators, Whitebridge was asked to support the further steps of the program. Whitebridge, through implementing a collaborative process, supported the client in closing a deal with one on the system integrators. This deal proofed to be very successful and the system integrator was awarded also the work for the BSS landscape. Both client and system integrator presented multiple times on the success of the relationship.

Approach:  Whitebridge delivered the results by supporting the program from RfP to contracting phase with a mixed team covering all necessary aspects, including the legal aspects:

  • Supporting the client by implementing a collaborative contracting approach with the shortlisted system integrators
  • Developed a specific agreement, schedules and master and individual statements of work for the work that needed to be performed
  • The dialogue process enabled the client to engage the prospective system integrators in a highly interactive and collaborative tender procedure co-developing the optimal plan and approach for the implementation of OSS applications
